I hiked this stage of the Icknield Way Path expedition in October 2014.
I was joined on the walk by two old friends, Herbert and Fred. Shortly after starting out I spotted a tree just asking to be climbed.

Man, I do LOVE climbing trees.
Smithy, my cairn terrier pup, came along for the ride, a 12 mile walkie, he was in heaven!

We had lunch and a pint at the Bell pub in Belsham.

Roman roads took us over gently rolling hills.

All-in-all a fine day out with good mates and a happy pup on the Icknield Way.
